Bands rocked. Tickets, not so much.
Incredible were the Los Angeles Dodgers, Adelitas Way, and Chevelle. Rock and roll was finally brought back to Springfield. It seems like forever since there has been any interesting event at the Mass Mutual Center (Springfield Civic Center) aside from a Falcons game.
The tickets did not rock but the music. When I purchased the tickets, I was looking for seats. Actual physical seats to sit in (or stand in front of). When I got to the page, the only option was general admission. Apparently not the case. Me and my friends got kicked from our seats after a woman tried to tell us she had tickets for the seats. She said it wasn't and went and fetched an usher who promptly told us it was not GA and we had to move. Not the woman's fault. Before I could even say anything, a young lady in the row behind us told her it was all general admission, which is what I was going to tell her.
Someone screwed up. My friend actually went to the physical Ticketmaster box office and was told there was no reserved seating and to arrive early to ensure a good seat. I looked long and hard to try and find a way to select seats when I was paying online, but the option wasn't there. The young lady behind us who defended us apparently was under the same impression. I don't know what happened but if the music wasn't so amazing, I would have been upset the entire night.
